Italy 2018: Naples, Rome and Tuscany

We flew into Rome June 2 and traveled by train to Naples for the first few days of our vacation. We explored the historic district in Naples where our hotel was, spent a day on Capri, toured Herculaneum and Pompeii and then visited the Naples Archeology Museum before heading by train back to Rome. In Rome, we went on several small group tours: Pristine Sistine which included the Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica, a Hidden Gem tour which took us to the Appian Way, Aquaduct park and the Jewish Ghetto, and an Ancient Rome tour that included the Colosseum.

Then Becky joined the Tuscany Photography Workshop led by Jeff Curto, and for 8 days, explored Tuscany in the Val d’Orcia. The final project was “Shadows in Tuscany.”

We stayed in historic Naples where the streets are narrow and the taxis are fast.
